Day-by-Day Details
Day 0: Day 1: Zanzibar to Arusha – Arrival & Hotel Check-in
Your adventure begins with a flight from Zanzibar to Arusha. Upon arrival, our representative will meet you at Arusha Airport and transfer you to your budget-friendly hotel. After check-in, enjoy some free time to relax and prepare for your safari. Your guide will provide a short briefing about the safari, itinerary and the next day's activities.
Day 1: Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Full-Day Safari
After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park for a full-day game drive. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant population, ancient baobab trees and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park while taking in the beautiful surroundings. In the afternoon, continue exploring the park before driving to the Karatu area for dinner and overnight accommodation.
Day 2: Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Wildlife Adventure & Return to Arusha
After an early breakfast, drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. The crater is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest and hippos. Enjoy a picnic lunch while surrounded by the spectacular crater landscape. After the game drive, ascend from the crater and continue to Arusha for overnight accommodation.
Day 3: Day 4: Materuni Waterfalls & Chagga Coffee Experience
After breakfast, travel from Arusha to Materuni Village near the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Enjoy a guided nature walk through the green landscape to Materuni Waterfalls, where you can relax and appreciate the natural surroundings. Continue with a traditional Chagga coffee experience and learn how locally grown coffee is prepared using traditional methods. After lunch, return to Arusha for your final overnight stay.
Day 4: Day 5: Arusha – Final Morning & Flight to Zanzibar
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and a relaxed final morning in Arusha. Depending on your flight schedule, there may be time for a short optional local activity or free time before your airport transfer. Our driver will transfer you to Arusha Airport for your flight back to Zanzibar, marking the end of your Tanzania safari and nature experience.
